“Mysterious Barricades” By Andy Summers at Leica

Un artista dall’anima multiforme e ricca di creatività e talento. Nella sua vita ha avuto una grandissima passione, la musica. Un amore ricambiato che lo ha reso un chitarrista di fama mondiale, collaborando con gruppi londinesi e poi con i mitici Police. Un’esperienza forte che ha regalato emozioni indescrivibili sia ai suoi protagonisti che ai loro fans. Questa passione ha accompagnato Andy Summers nelle sue esperienze da solista e nella composizione di colonne sonore per il cinema.
Il suo talento si è espresso anche nello scrivere. La sua autobiografia “One Train Later” ha avuto un notevole successo tanto da essere trasformata in un film e in una trasposizione teatrale.
Come musicista ha girato il mondo, vivendo esperienze e sensazioni sempre diverse e intense. Queste le ha di volta in volta immortalate in scatti fotografici che hanno colto, non solo l’attimo fuggente, ma le emozioni e le sonorità del momento. Scatti intimi, a tratti surreali, talvolta dalle sfumature oscure e malinconiche che hanno dato vita a mostre fotografiche nelle principali gallerie internazionali. Ora, grazie a Leica, possiamo ammirarle anche a Milano nel corso della mostra “Mysteriuos Barricades”. Fotografie in bianco e nero che ritraggono scorci di vita vissuta tra l’altopiano della Bolivia, il Golden Gai di Tokyo, le strade di Napoli e le vedute di Shanghai.

An artist with a multifaceted and full of creativity and talent soul. In his life he had a great passion, the music. A reciprocated love that made him a world-renowned guitarist, working with famous groups in London and then with the legendary Police. Experience strong that gave indescribable emotions both its protagonists and to their fans. This passion has accompanied Andy Summers in his experiences as a soloist and in soundtrack composition for the cinema.
His talent was also expressed in writing. His autobiography, “One Train Later”, has been very successful and was turned into a film and theatrical trasposition.
Like musician he has traveled around the world, living always different feelings and intense experiences. This has been immortalized in photographs that have caught not only the fleeting moment, but the emotions and sounds of the moment. Intimate, sometimes surreal, sometimes with dark and melancholic nuances shots, that have given rise to a lot of exhibitions in the major international galleries. Now, thanks to Leica, we can admire them also in Milan, during the exhibition “Mysteriuos Barricades“. Black and white photographs that portray foreshortens of life lived between the plateau of Bolivia, the Golden Gai in Tokyo, the streets of Naples and the views of Shanghai.
